We’ve been busy planting seeds for the last few weeks. Here’s what we’re going to have this summer! All heirloom, organic seeds! We have a lot of other stuff going in too, but these are our main crops.
Feo de Riogordo – large tasty beefsteak variety from southern Spain
Gardeners Ecstacy cherry tomato. Delicious small fruits.
Green Zebra- thought by many to be the tastiest tomato ever.
Tomate De COLGAR
Basque Chilli- heirloom from the south of France. Red, medium hot
Alberto’s Locoto – very rare, from Bolivia.
Gelbe Kirshen – early yellow cherry chilli pepper from Kosovo. Very, very hot.
Yellow Flame – an early and very hot chilli pepper, red, 5cm wide and up to 30 cm long.
Early Jalapeño – small, green with distinctive skin markings
Kaibi Round No 2 -Incredibly sweet red pepper from Bulgaria. Strong flavour.
“Yellow Monster” Long Bell Pepper- 15cm long yellow pepper.
“Orange Bell” , orange bell pepper.
King of the North – large green bell pepper.
Touchon – heirloom from France, dating back to the 1700’s.Excellent sweet flavour.
D’eysines, large traditional from Bordeaux.
Jaune Obtuse de Doubs, very old variety from France, very sweet, long yellow carrot.

Carrot Muscade, very rare North African carrot, large with exceptional flavour.
Black Beauty , early, medium black fruit.
De Barbentane , cylindrical black fruit from France.
Ronde de Valence, very old variety, black / purple fruits.
Verde d’Italia, early courgette from Italy, good flavour, pale green.
Verde di Milano, dark green fruit from Italy.
Chengeloy, from Turkey, tender thin green skin, no bitterness
Sanguinary, deep red, sweet and juicy.
Red Top, large round Italian radish.
Mystery Mix, mix of different coloured round radishes.
“Reins des Glaces “, Toothed Crisphead Lettuce, very rare and precious variety from the 1800’s.
Optima, Green Butterhead Lettuce , round leaves, crunchy ribs.
Emerald Oak, Oakleaf Lettuce, small loose green ruffled heads.
Devil’s Tongue Romaine Lettuce, red/ purple oval leaves.
Waltham Butternut Squash, excellent tasty flesh.
